Biology Visit

Year 12 Biologists had an interesting day at Twycross Zoo this term.

The purpose of the visit was to learn first-hand about the role that zoos such as Twycross play in the conservation of endangered species.

Although the weather was not as nice as recent years, all of the students gained a valuable insight about how captive breeding programme and other initiatives are working to protect some of the world’s most vulnerable species of wildlife.

This, in addition to classroom based lessons, will assist in preparing the students for their forthcoming AS examinations.
